Macros is a widely used term in the computer world. It means recording certain actions and then playing them back, allowing the user to complete a lot of steps in one. This way, he will save a lot of time and effort. Numerous applications have the macro features, let's take Microsoft Word for example, which with the help of macros, can automatically complete a series of text editing tasks. Unfortunately, the Windows operating system lacks support for macros. There are many reasons why a user would want to record macros in Windows. For example, he may want to show to another user a certain functionality or he just wants to save time with some repetitive tasks. Whatever the reasons are, the only solution for having macro support in Windows would be using a third party application. One such program is Quick Macros. As the name clearly states, the program allows anyone to easily create macros using various options.

Quick Macros is very simple to install and can run on most versions of the Windows operating system without problems. Besides that, it takes up little hard disk space and requires low system resources.

The interface of Quick Macros seems difficult to use at first, because it displays some macro source code. One shouldn't worry because the code is automatically generated and doesn't require writing it manually. The program features some sample macros that illustrate how the software works. The user just needs to click on the recording button for creating a new macro. Quick Macros can record mouse clicks, pressed keys and so on. Advanced users can write the macro code themselves. For helping them in this matter, Quick Macros uses different colors for the text, according to the type of variables used.

Quick Macros can record the actions performed in virtually any Windows application. After the macros are created, the user can save them as a project file, for modifying them later or he can export them as executable files, for running on systems where the application is not installed.

Pros

It allows anyone to easily and quickly record any type of macro, without requiring any macro code experience. Besides that, the program can record mouse clicks and pressed keys. Furthermore, macros can be exported to regular executable files, for running them on machines where Quick Macros is not installed. Moreover, advanced users can manually write the macro code.

Cons

The interface seems a bit difficult to use at first. Quick Macros is the ideal software for quickly and easily creating advanced macros.
